Young
Young has nearly two decades of experience working with children, beginning with children’s ministry in 2007 and continuing through several years as a dayhome provider. Her experience caring for children of different ages inspired her to pursue formal education, which she is currently completing at Northwestern Polytechnic.
Young’s teaching philosophy is guided by the belief that “it takes a whole community to raise a child.” She believes children thrive when they are supported by strong relationships with families, educators, and their community. Through caring guidance and meaningful interactions, she hopes to provide the support children need to build skills, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
Before returning to childcare, Young spent over six years as a Calgary Transit bus operator. In her free time, she enjoys challenging herself to learn new things, including crocheting and playing guitar.
